This gorgeous piece of red elm is a sight to behold. I hand-turned it from square stock on my lathe here in California.
After turning it, I put it through a weathering process that removed the softer parts of the wood, leaving behind a ridged, grooved exterior that is wonderful to touch.
Food-safe finish.
5.5" across and 2" high.
