I present to you this lovely black acacia. I hand-harvested this bowl from a downed tree in a 2022 storm. Its food-safe, medium-gloss finish adds a touch of elegance to the 12" diameter, 5" tall bowl. Classic with a modern twist, it features an interior bead to highlight the wood grain.

Black acacia is an extraordinarily hard wood, which makes it difficult to work with. It takes a little extra effort, which is reflected in the price, but also in the prestige of owning such a piece. 

This piece contains some small cracks and voids, but none which threaten the integrity of the piece. It is protected by pure Danish oil, and is crafted to last a lifetime.

This tree came from my on neighborhood and holds special importance to me as a product of my town. I hope you'll enjoy using it as much as I enjoyed making it.
