I hand-turned and carved this walnut bowl from a lovely piece of walnut sourced from Capay, California.
The carving and sanding is arduous, time-consuming, and leaves blisters.

In this case, I think it's totally worth it.

Protected with a food-safe modern hardwax finish. 8" wide by 3" tall. Heirloom-quality wood and carving.
