I turned this piece on my lathe, then hand-carved the back with rippled and undulations that make the bowl dance and move in the light. While technically food-safe, I recommend this piece as a catch-all tray or display piece, since honduran mahogany is a softer wood that doesn't particularly enjoy getting wet.
